Hey there Russ, Acrobat XI (from 2012) is no longer available – recently Adobe announced the new version which replaces XI, which is called Acrobat DC Yesterday, they released this new desktop software and you can now download and run a free trial of Acrobat DC, which is available via either a perpetual (traditional) or subscription. Well, you can still use the Adobe Acrobat XI, you will have to live without security updates and bug fixes. Adobe has recommended to its users they switch to a different PDF solution. One of them is Adobe Acrobat DC, a more feature rich and improved version of the Acrobat.
- Acrobat reader DC and Adobe Reader XI are PDF readers that are commonly used. Both these two software programs can be downloaded free of charge. The key difference between Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Reader XI is that Adobe Acrobat DC version relies more on cloud and sync your pdf data across devices and machines and provides better.
- Adobe Acrobat XI This is the eleventh version of Adobe Acrobat, and the final non-subscription version on the market. You can pay a one-time fee to purchase the full software, and then use it as long as you like. Acrobat XI allows you to manage PDFs on a hard drive or shared network.
- I bought pernament licence for Acrobat DC. I have also license for version 9. Interface in DC is horrible, no usability here for me. My question is: can i somehow use older (X, XI) version of Acrobat Pro with my license for DC version?

You can update Acrobat to the latest released version manually using the menu option Help > Check for updates.
Launch Acrobat, and go to Help > Check for updates.
Check for updates'>If an update is available, you see the dialog box as shown below. Click Download.
Safari 10 7 update. The update is downloaded in the background. Once the download is complete, you might see a prompt to quit Acrobat as shown below. Quit Acrobat and click Retry.
Note:
If you see the User Access Control prompt, click Yes.
Once the update is installed, the Update successful dialog box is displayed. Click Close.

Launch Acrobat, and go to Help > Check for updates.
